SHARON BARFOOT FINE ART

Sharon Barfoot is a Canadian multidisciplinary artist whose work explores memory, transformation, ancient systems of knowledge, and the stories carried within objects. Through painting, fibre, assemblage, and symbolic forms, she creates works that bridge archaeology, mythology, and contemporary life.

 “My materials of choice are botanical and mineral dyes, thread and stitch worked on natural materials. My work has been shown nationally and internationally, and most recently in Islamabad Pakistan, Mexico and Kyoto Japan. I am a past recipient of both a Canada Council grant and an Ontario Arts Council grant for my work in the arts.”
